SUMMIT DRILL SLEEVE

The Summit Drill Sleeve is a precision machine accessory used to adapt drill tools with different shank sizes to fit into machine spindles or drill chucks. It acts as a reducing sleeve (adapter), allowing smaller taper shank tools to be used in larger taper sockets efficiently.

Manufactured from high-grade alloy steel and case hardened, drill sleeves offer excellent strength, wear resistance, and long service life. They are precision ground internally and externally to maintain high concentricity and accurate alignment during drilling operations.

These sleeves are commonly designed as Morse Taper (MT) types, ensuring compatibility with standard drilling and machining equipment.

Where to Use

  • Drilling Machines: Adapting drill bits with different tapers
  • Lathe Machines: Supporting drilling and boring operations
  • Milling Machines: Tool holding and alignment
  • CNC Machines: Precision drilling setups
  • Workshops & Tool Rooms: General machining applications

Key Features

  • unctions as a reducing adapter (MT to MT conversion)
  • Made from hardened alloy steel (55–58 HRC)
  • Precision ground for accurate alignment
  • High concentricity → better drilling accuracy
  • Available in multiple combinations (MT1–MT2, MT2–MT3, MT3–MT4, etc.)
  • Durable and wear-resistant construction

Applications

Used for fitting smaller taper shank drills into larger machine spindles, ensuring proper alignment, stability, and accurate drilling performance in machining operations.
