CONSTRUCTION & MATERIALS
Where spring calipers rely on tension to maintain their setting, the Firm Joint Caliper relies on friction. The screw and nut assembly clamps the legs at the desired angle, and the interposed fiber washers provide just enough resistance to prevent drift without making adjustment difficult.
The result is a caliper especially well-suited to repetitive gauging tasks – whether checking dimensions off a lathe, verifying part tolerances on a CNC turning center or VMC, or inspecting precision components across industries such as automotive, general engineering and emerging
high-precision manufacturing sectors. The setting does not change between parts.
