Product Overview

Luthra Cast Iron I-Section Straight Edges are precision inspection tools widely used for erection, commissioning, and leveling purposes. They are designed to check the surface flatness of large precision areas such as surface tables and machine tables, and are also utilized for blue matching during hand scrapping operations. Featuring wide and parallel working surfaces for the application of spirit levels, these straight edges are manufactured strictly as per IS 5268:1991 Grade-1.

Key Features & Capabilities

Material Construction: Made of good quality closed-grain cast iron strictly as per IS 210:1993 confirming to Grade FG-220.
Stress Relief: Castings are stress-relieved either by natural aging or artificial seasoning.
Hardness: 170-220 BHN.
Surface Finish: Hand scraped for a surface finish of Grade-1 accuracy.
Design: I-section configuration providing wide and parallel working surfaces suitable for spirit level applications.
Protection & Storage: Wooden covers are provided with each straight edge to protect working surfaces (safe storage wooden boxes available upon request at extra cost).
Certification: Supplied with a computerized calibration certificate traceable to the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Govt. of India, New Delhi.
