SUMMIT GREASE NIPPLE

A Grease Nipple (also called a grease fitting or Zerk fitting) is a small mechanical component designed to supply grease into bearings, bushes, and other moving parts under pressure using a grease gun. It consists of a metal fitting with a small ball check valve that prevents dirt from entering and ensures one-way grease flow into the component. Made from hardened steel, brass, or stainless steel, grease nipples are durable, leak-proof, and available in various types such as straight, angled, and button-head.

The Grease Nipple is used in machines and equipment that require periodic greasing under pressure with a grease gun.

Where to Use:

  • Bearings & bushes – for smooth rotation and reduced wear

  • Automobiles & two-wheelers – steering joints, suspension parts, universal joints

  • Agricultural machinery – tractors, harvesters, and implements

  • Construction equipment – excavators, loaders, cranes

  • Industrial machinery – lathes, presses, rolling mills, and other heavy machines

  • Pumps & compressors – to lubricate moving shafts and housings

In short: It’s used wherever grease needs to be injected directly into moving parts to ensure reliable lubrication and longer service life.
